ITE Hearing aids

ITE hearing aids are worn inside the ear. To make this kind of hearing aid, the doctor will take an impression of your ear. He or she will use a soft material like putty to do this. It doesn’t hurt, and it doesn’t take very long. And when the hearing aid is finished, it will fit perfectly.

Because the ears of younger children are constantly growing, ITE hearing aids aren’t always the best choice for them. The ITE has to fit completely tight in the ear and since the ear grows all the time it would mean that you would have to have new aids all the time.

But children who are over ten years old can wear ITE hearing aids.
